Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. He then transitioned the MacOS from 68000 to PowerPC at Apple and moved the world from 32-bit to 64-bit computing at AMD. During that time, his role progressed from individual contributor, to vice president, with 1000+ employees. Leaving Silicon Valley in 2008, Wayne combined his passion for sailing, with his background in technology, and launched a company that designed, manufactured and supported full custom electronics for numerous competitors in the Volvo 70, IMOCA 60 and Super Maxi classes. Wayne has been recognized for his expertise in the development and implementation of sailing-related instrumentation and hydraulic control systems at the highest levels. Wayne has been a member of the measurement committee for the World Series, Challenger Selection Series and the America's Cup and was unanimously recommended to return by all participants in the AC34 and AC35. Wayne's background is in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
